I spent quite a lot of time investigating before I purchased my latest set of wheels. I wanted to be sure I was purchasing the best value car for me and with the right features. In the end I decided on the Volkswagen Passat 4dr saloon with these features:

I accept that choosing the cheapest insurance quote is possibly not the best way to go when buying car insurance. Cheapest does not have to mean the best value for money. It often depends on what is covered by the insurance. I understand that is the case but my current money situation does not let me to spend much money on insurance. I hope I will not end up regretting my decision to go for the cheapest quote but I really do not see that I have a lot of choice. As it happens, I only bought a car was because I have to have it for my occupation, otherwise I would have managed catching the train until my financial situation improved.

This way I can get an instant response or do a comparison of various quotes. I am also looking into getting a home/car insurance package as this can prove to be a cheap way to go.
As of today, I have found a number of similarly priced quotes for my Volkswagen Passat 4dr saloon but not all cover the same type of repairs or for the same amount. This is making the comparison of quotes a little bit more difficult than I expected but I am sure in the end I will get cheap insurance which is also great value for money and with a well known insurance company.
