I spent a fair amount of time researching before I purchased my latest set of wheels. I wanted to know I was buying the right car for me and with the most items. Eventually I decided on the Vauxhall Astra 5dr estate with these particulars:

It usually depends on what is covered by the insurance. I know that is the case but my current money situation does not permit me to spend too much money on insurance. Actually, the reason I bought a car was because I need it for my occupation, otherwise I would have managed catching the train until my money situation improved.

This way I can get an instant response or do a comparison of various quotes. I am also looking into getting a home/car insurance deal as this can end up being cheaper in the long run.
So far, I have found a number of similarly priced quotes for my Vauxhall Astra 5dr estate but not all cover the same type of repairs or for the same of payout. This is making the comparison of quotes a little bit difficult but I believe in the end of my search I will get cheap insurance which is also great value for money and with a reputable insurance company.
